Ingredients :

4 oz Flour
1tsp Baking Powder
1 tsp Bicarbonate of Soda
1 tsp ground Ginger
1 pinch ground Cloves
2 oz Butter
1 ½ oz Brown Sugar
2 tbs Golden Syrup


Method:

Sift the flour,baking powder bicarbonate of soda and spices together.
Rub in the butter.
Stir in the sugar and syrup.
Mix to a smooth dough with your hands and roll into small balls.
Place on a large greased baking sheet and flatten slightly.

Bake at 190°C for about 10 minutes until golden.
